Rev. Jimmy B. Kuoh oversees The Liberia Assemblies of God with 500 churches, 78,000 adherents and 300 trained pastors. The church currently operates four active ministerial training institutions: one Bible college and three Bible institutes. The fourth Bible institute is currently undergoing renovation after being damaged by the civil war.
One of the few African countries without a history of colonialism, Liberia had a sustained period (1980 – 2003) of political and economic instability and two successive civil wars that left approximately 250,000 people dead and devastated the country's economy. Ten years on from the war, Liberia is still struggling to rebuild its destroyed infrastructure and broken lives.
Jimmy has an MA in Missiology from the Assemblies of God Graduate School of Theology in Lome, Togo, and is currently a PhD student at the Pan Africa Theological Seminary also in Lome, Togo.
